April is starting out with a bang!! There have been limit catches of browns ranging from 2 to 15 pounds mixed in with a few small salmon and steelhead. It is the opinion of several respected captains as the best start in several years!! Can’t wait to go fishing!July 23
Large numbers of Salmon have finally gotten to the Port of Oswego! Fish from 6 pounds to 30 pounds are being taken daily, some limit catches along with 7 to 9 fish per outing boated (small ones released). It appears they’ll be a good run in late August and most of September. Call us to book your trips before they fill up!

We have good & bad news!! Lake trout fishing has been excellent but the Brown Trout fishing has been slow. The few Browns around have been exceptionally larger than normal but we haven’t had any real numbers to speak of. This is a result of the winds blowing out of the east & southeast for the past couple of weeks which has caused a change in the water column. I’m sure with the west winds coming we’ll see a big change!

Great start to the year!! Brown trout are being taken anywhere from 2 to 15 pounds; Lake trout from 5 to 25 pounds. A good mixture of salmon and steelhead are providing great action on light line. The recreational fishing has been awesome. There has been Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Salmon and Steelheads in numbers we haven’t seen in a long time. Many 3 year old browns and 2-3 year old salmon. We are hoping the governor opens up the state soon so we can start the season. It looks like it’s going to be a great one
